I really enjoyed this dark, Viking fairytale! The pace was a little slow, but I didn’t mind it because I liked the way the world building unfurled. Silla has a quiet strength and resilience that helps her through SO MANY horrible events. My heart just ached for her by the end.

There’s a bit of a Tamlin situation with the romance, but I think things will be interesting going into the next book 😏.

Also, there were a few plot points I saw coming, but one in particular took me by surprise, so that was fun! Looking forward to the rest of this series!
