I was really excited when I saw Luanne was releasing another witchy novel - I absolutely loved her previous books (The Vine Witch series and the Raven Spell books) but this one fell a little flat for me.
The setting is Eastern Europe during WWI, and I really found the storyline interesting, but the execution of it was just kind of….meh. It lost some of the wonder and magic I felt reading the first two series of books - I didn’t feel a connection to the characters.
