The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides

challenging dark emotional mysterious sad medium-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix
  • Strong character development? It's complicated
  • Flaws of characters a main focus? Yes

I didn’t know what to expect at first but after about halfway through, I made a guess and surprisingly my guess was correct. So the plot-twist was a bit predictable to me but not for the reason of why it happened, more to who did it. How things ended the way it ended.

Anyways, it’s really good. I loved it. I was afraid, at first, that I would be disappointed but I didn’t. I kept reading and reading and reading. It was almost impossible to put down.  The only reason I put it down was because I had to study for a test lol otherwise I wouldn’t have put it down and read it in one sitting. It’s just that good, really.
