An Enchantment of Ravens
by Margaret Rogerson
What a wonderful story of not just fairies and human folk, but of overcoming the belief that a person consists solely of their outer appearance. This romance spends a lot of time where the characters' worst comes to the forefront. And yet they still fall in love (or more in love).
I'm not usually a fan of fantasy stories. I decided that between Julia Whelan on audio and the appeal of the synopsis, I'd give it a try. I'm so glad I did. Julia Whelan is dependably good when it comes to audiobooks and that was certainly true in this case.
Overall, the story was interesting and witty, the characters likable and sympathetic and the pacing was perfect for the plot. This was a fun read.
