The Wife Stalker by Liv Constantine
2.0

I enjoyed this book while I was reading it. However, I was frustrated by the ending. A twist is one thing, but this one felt wrong. A good twist makes you feel like, "Wow, that was cool and I'm kicking myself for not seeing it because the clues were there." There were no clues here so it just felt deceptive.

Another issue I have with the ending is that there were too many things left open-ended. The last line of the book was awesome and that's not what I'm talking about. I'm talking about whether she killed her second husband and his daughter. I think the first husband might have actually been an accident. But not the second. But who knows because we weren't given resolution there. Also, it's pretty obvious that she was poisoning Stelli but that just got dropped at the end and we weren't really given an indication of whether our suspicions were right about that either.

Finally, I didn't like the indication of what all this madness means for the children. Between these two women: one seriously mentally ill and the other an unreliable narrator at best and sociopath at worst, then throw in a dad who's blind to it all... these kids don't stand a chance.

Good premise, but the end ruined it for me.
