this book is a warm hug or a sunny day. it's pure joy shot straight through your system. it's an astonishingly honest and real look at what it's like to be queer and okay with that, but dreading coming out because it's a never-ending process that could turn into a spectacle and really, who wants to deal with that? i felt so seen by it.

simon spier is a dork. he has moments where he's dumb, and i loved him so much for it. from the moment you meet him, you can't help but root for him and cheer him on and the end of the book had me absolutely beaming - thank god i was home alone.

if you want a cozy, quick read that's comforting? can't recommend this enough.
