Overall, a very good book that just loses some steam towards the end.  As the plot is a web of 12 or more main characters and multiple deaths, all the unweaving at the end felt a bit rushed and disappointing. The book is enjoyable because of interesting characters, and the pacing is nice, but stepping back and thinking about the plot overall, it seems like Osman stretched himself a bit thin. He even includes excerpts from his drafts that include even more characters.

Maybe lengthening the story would have made it a bit stronger. The “mystery” isn’t anything special, but at least it isn’t what I was expecting.

Also, a weirdly high number of suicides in this book.
