I did enjoy this book, but there a lot of "buts" to complete the sentence...
- But I didn't think that the Warcross game was fleshed out particularly well. Why was she called an "architect" if her schtick was to blow things up and/or make things easier for her teammates? That sounds more like a "fixer" to me.
- But it felt SO YA.
- But the narrator read it so breathlessly that it added unnecessarily to the drama.
- But I wasn't into the romance aspect.
- But I don't feel like reading the sequel.
There were some "ands" too, though...
- And the diversity of the characters was excellent.
- And the virtually augmented world was very cool.
- And Emika had awesome hair.
