Glennon's story telling is akin to that of sitting around the dining room table after dinner. Sometimes it's joyful and inspiring, other times heavy and full of hard pills to swallow, but it always feels authentic and like a genuine way to connect with others.
This one was a book my mom bought for myself and my siblings. It is wonderful to hear stories of queer joy put into the perspective of modern day events and challenges and watch the author do her best to continue to learn and grow despite bumps in the road.
I think this book will likely resonate more with parents/guardians since there's a lot in here about that part of the author's life, but even as a child free spectator, it's still an engaging and interesting story.
