I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this book going into it. In fact, this is my least favorite of the film adaptations. However, I believe this may be my favorite of the books. I loved how this was written, as if Rowling learned from her mistakes of Order of the Phoenix and sharpened her skills in this. The backstory of Voldemort, the love triangles, Malfoy and Snape, everything intertwined perfectly and left me wanting more. I loved this so much, but now I dislike the film more because of how much was changed. I’m definitely going to rewatch to hopefully appreciate it more, but I doubt that will happen.
