I’m not sure where this book turned around for me, but I’d say by 200 pages (if not sooner) I was suddenly very invested. All the characters in this book are solidly portrayed, I could picture them, I rooted for them, and as I got to know them more my feelings for some of them changed. Before reading this I thought being asexual meant you didn’t want/have romantic relationships, so I was confused as to how a romance was going to feature an asexual character. Obviously I don’t feel like I’m suddenly an expert, but this book made me see how uninformed I was and I’m glad I read it and got something more from the story than just another read I enjoyed.
