I (like many) am doing a re-read of the entire Ember quartet before the release of Heir. The first time I read this book I was kind a mess. My jaw was dropped, my hackles raised, my eyes crying.
Somehow I thought it would be easier to read the second time knowing what was going to happen but to quotean awful action movies I once watched;
"Sometimes the anticipation of death is far worse than dying."
Turns out I forgot some of the more awful events while still remembering what terrible thing was coming up *sob*
This is still fantasy at it's best and I'm remembering why it's my favourite.
Sabaa I love youbut when I catch you.....
