Again Tamsyn Muir swerves hard from her previous writing, and again she absolutely nails it. Nona is a slower book than the other two, but also, I'd say, a more hopeful one. The events of the prior two books definitely inform the setting, and it's not a good place to be by any stretch of the imagination but Nona manages to be a ray of light that shows us different angles of characters we've already grown to love.
