At first, I was honestly like what the heck is going on? 😅 But once I got into it, Dark Matter completely hooked me. It’s one of those books that makes your brain work in the best way possible—challenging, thought-provoking, but also super enjoyable.
What I loved most is how it made me reflect on big concepts: life, love, identity, and the importance of being grateful for what I already have. It reminded me that I’m in control of my reality, and that both the good and the bad decisions I’ve made have shaped the person I am today. I wouldn’t be me—the parts of me I love most—without those choices, even the mistakes.
Reading this book has honestly shifted my perspective. It left me feeling both grateful for where I am and empowered to take back control over where I’m going.
This was actually the August pick for Lambda Ladies Read, the book club I host for my sorority sisters, and it sparked such meaningful conversation. It wasn’t just about the sci-fi twists, but about what the story had us reflecting on in our own lives. Now to watch the show on Apple TV.
