Dead to Her by Sarah Pinborough

5.0

I was lucky to get an advanced reading copy from Edelweiss - thank you!

I've been hooked on Sarah Pinborough since BEHIND HER EYES, and I love how she never tells the same story twice. This book is layered and lush, set in a dark, hot South filled with secrets. Marcie is a second wife, married to high-powered exec Jason. She knows her place in society - she'll never be as beloved as Jason's first wife, Jacqui, but she is content with her role as a kept wife in a fancy house. Until Keisha comes along. Jason's boss, William, returns from a soul-searching trip to Europe with Keisha in tow. She's his new second wife, but she's nothing like Marcie - and she is going to turn Savannah on its head. Nothing is as it seems here, and every character is flawed, not particularly likeable, or both. But that's what brings the alchemy to the novel, and readers will be turning the pages eagerly to find out how it all shakes out.
