I thoroughly enjoyed the plot of this and the characters introduced through Evelyn's life. However, I didn't really love Monique's perspective despite knowing it is essential for the story to be written the way it is. I found the humour bland, and almost annoyingly millennial. I also could see the reveal at the end coming a mile away, but it did get me to tear up at some point, so I'm not that mad about it. However, as Evelyn is the focus of most of the book, I liked it a lot.
