I really struggled at the start of this book - the POV changes incredibly frequently with short, snappy chapters and the timeline jumps around so found it hard to get into initially.
However SO glad I persevered. It’s a beautiful family saga and a celebration of love - platonic, romantic, familial. An exploration of the things people do to survive and of sacrifice. Also a really touching look at heritage and genetics and how so much of what binds us together is in our blood.
