The Queen of Poisons
by Robert Thorogood
mysterious
tense
fast-paced
Geoffrey, the town Mayor, suddenly dies during a town Council meeting. Traces of acconite - the Queen of Poisons - are found in his coffee cup. Who murdered him and why?
I loved being back with Judith, Suzie and Becks again as they helped the police to solve the murder. I was wondering whether they would be able to solve it as some points as this case did have them stumped.
The trio do make me giggle with their bickering, but they continue to be great friends and are always there for each other.
This story was really well written, as I just couldn't figure out the who or the why. I flew through the last few chapters to find out.
