The Outlaw Noble Salt by Amy Harmon

5.0

@amyharmonauthor is one of my absolute favorite authors. I remember the first books of hers I ever read - From Sand and Ash - and it broke me and healed me in a way I hadn't experienced from a book in a long time. Since then, I never pass up one of her books. I have only two I haven't read yet and they're on my wishlist to read soon. Needless to say, this is one of my most anticipated reads this year and it definitely lived up to my expectations.

Infamous outlaw Butch Cassidy has decided to live life on the straight and narrow after a life spent on the run. Fate gets in the way though, in the form of a meddling brother and a singer who captivates him so much he's brought to tears. When he's mistakenly in her and her young son's presence, he makes a lasting impression as Dr. Noble Salt. So much so that when they unexpectedly run into each other in Paris, she makes him an offer at a real job he can't refuse. Noble Salt is just one name attached to this man who's had so many, but Noble is nothing if not honorable and tells the truth when Jane and Gus confront him about his identity. Noble does what is in his power to protect Jane and Gus, but both of their secrets threaten to follow them anywhere they go. As Noble/Butch/Robert LeRoy says, "Some people are just ours."

Who knew you could swoon over Butch Cassidy?! Swoon I did though. The gentleness he showed Jane was so beautiful and frankly just perfection. He's absolute gold book boyfriend material. If you haven't yet, you MUST meet Noble Salt. This had Amy's typical captivating way with words and abundance of heart. I can't recommend this one enough.
