Personally, I found this book slow paced and indeed targeted for a younger audience.
The nicknames used were funny and cringe at the same time? They detracted from scenes that needed to be serious. I love to read banter between friends but, once again, I think the banter was used in some moments that needed to have a more serious note.
On the other hand, I think the magic system and the world have a lot of potential and it was interesting.
Zhara was a nice mc but Xu and Yuli were probably my favourites.
