Meh. It had potential, but as many other reviewers have pointed out, it’s hard to like a lead character who is constantly focused on how unlikable she is because of her looks. We get it. You had a shitty experience in high school. It’s scarring. We don’t need to be reminded every other page how big her nose is and how good looking Ford is. Could have been a decent story if it wasn’t so heavy handed on that piece of it. Oh - and do I believe Gina could even fall in love? No. Because in the immortal words of RuPaul, “if you can’t love yourself, how in the hell you gonna love somebody else?” Can I get an amen?
