The Horse Dancer by Jojo Moyes

1.0

This is the second book of Jojo Moyes that I dislike and regret having read.
A tedious exercise in writing, the actions of the characters were totally unbelievable. I did not like the way she handled a child assault in 'After You' and she does the same here. Another teenage girl in trouble with no adult close by to help and she just manages to go from one dangerous situation to another only to have them all neatly tied up in the end with a very saccharine ending.

I understand life is messy but how come we never see the kid talk about what happened to her? And how come the hotshot lawyer who actually handles " children in trouble" couldn't recognise the signs especially when she was dealing with the same thing in her BIG case.
Argh! i sat up all night to finish this and I wish I had just thrown it away and gone to bed.
