I had higher hopes for this books, but it was just okay. Although told in alternating perspectives, I didn’t find the character development to be effective. Nina and Jessica’s chapters sounded too similar, and I was only reminded of who was narrating when their current life situation was brought up. Also, for a book about finding a missing sister, there is very little reference made to her and the impact her absence had on their lives. It wasn’t bad. There were genuinely funny and touching parts, but it just left me wanting more depth to this story.
