This has been my least favorite Sanderson book so far-but it won me over about 1/2 to 2/3 through. I laughed out loud several times and adored Michael Kramer’s reading as always. I found the book parts read by Kate Redding to be annoying at times, but necessary to help with world building and to fill in blanks. It was very confusing at first and started off slow- but not because of world building. I almost gave up but reviews said to stick with it. I haven’t actually ever read it all, but definitely got the Hitchhiker’s Guide vibe. I think my organized brain just had difficulty with not knowing what was happening for like 1/3 or more of the book. But overall entertaining, great idea, and full of good insight into human nature and technology.
