Life 3.0: Being Human in the Age of Artificial Intelligence
by Max Tegmark
I found this to be an interesting, optimistic but albeit unthorough exploration of the future of AI. There is no use speculating about all these crazy far-flung space adventures without seriously addressing the question "how can we make superintelligence match our values." To be fair, Tegmark touches on this, but this was not the main thing I got out of the book.
I also could have done without the personal anecdotes. I'll be reading Nick Bostrom's Superintelligence next.
