This novella is a beautiful addition to the Gods of Tintar series, and I am stunned by what Kara has created in a brief work. It was a joy to be in Helena’s head. As a mother, I rarely see stories of mothers as the main character in a fantasy world, especially not in a love story. It was delightful and devastating in equal measure to read of Helena and Maureen’s backstory. Thatcher is my main Tintar man - I love him so much. His care for Helena in her recovery is so beautiful, and reflects Kara’s careful craft and talent in writing sensitive material.
I am thrilled to be able to be on this journey in Tintar with Edie, Helena, and all the gang!
