This book was easy to read, a page turner and all that. David has the gift of writing that flows and has a rhythm to it. I can say that I did enjoy this one... However... the villain's plot reached James Bond levels of absurd that Split Second entered Saturday Morning Cartoon territory... the Male Protagonist is a fever dream of 90s/80s cliches... you know that middle aged white dude that women just swoon over Immediately (complete with boomer values)
