This was a sweet and steamy first start to a new series by Regine Abel. While I did enjoy the budding romance and quiet drama surrounding Olix and Susan's marriage, there just wasn't enough danger and excitement for me to absolutely get lost in. I wish there had been more opportunities for us to see how ruthless a protective warrior Olix could be, but overall I enjoyed the slow burn between Olix and Susan as they learned to navigate their different expectations and cultures.
