cheryldownes 's review for:
The Caphenon
by Fletcher DeLancey
Science fiction hasn't been my thing for a while but Fletcher DeLancey has brought me back to it with this brilliant book.
The premise of the book brings invaders, aliens and the locals together in a race against time in the fight for Alsea. That in itself is a strong story but what I loved on top of this were the beautifully crafted characters, particularly Lancer Tal and Captain Serrado who have a blend of friendship and an unconventional relationship.
So well imagined, so carefully written. There was nothing about this book that I didn't thoroughly enjoy.
I received and ARC for an honest review.
