If you like an unreliable narrator, this is the one for you! Props to Alex Jennings for his narration on the audiobook. He was perfect as smarmy, bitter Elliott Chase. I really did feel as though we were sat in a dark bar having a drink. I must say that Michaelides stretched the plot out and refolded and stretched again like so much saltwater taffy. It kept me guessing as to how much Lana really knew. I will echo one issue that others brought up about Elliott being both first person narrator and omniscient narrator. There's a conceit the author uses a few times that explains these discrepancies but not always. It really needs to be one or the other.

if you plan to read The Silent Patient, know that this book has a spoiler for the ending on that one. I enjoyed it as the Easter egg it was likely intended to be but others may not.
