Summer of '69 by Elin Hilderbrand

3.0

Good for a palette cleanser, easy beach read. Kind of vapid characters, but what do I expect? Kind of felt a bit YA-ish, which I don't mean to be an insult, but one of the primary characters is just turning 13, and her two sisters really aren't that much older in the scheme of things. A bit predictable, but again, trying to judge this as a beach read, not Dostoyevsky for Pete's sake. First read of Elin Hilderbrand's; would try another but wouldn't strongly seek it out. Don't really feel like putting effort into further review - 3 stars it is.
