Part of me thinks there were too many tragedies in this book. But the other part of me thinks that’s the whole point, because this is the hunger games.
I really liked the epilogue. To see even 3 pages of the point of view of haymitch and how peeta and katniss became like family to them was really cute.
I might have to agree with Julia Chatterley who said that we didn’t get to see enough of Haymitch’s reaction to things to really get to love his character as much as we could’ve by the end. But I still thought the book was good. I liked the pacing a lot better in this one than in Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.
I was reading the book late at night when Maysilee died and it was very sad. I cried. I felt really bad for haymitch in that moment because she was the last one from home.
