NOTE: this review is for both Crow Calls Vol 1 & 2

Poetry has this talent to fill the void that regular stories cannot. The prose can often be abstract and lyrical, giving the reader room to interpret the emotions being expressed however they want it to be. They can be clear cut with a poignant message delivered in few lines, or paragraphs worth.

The poems expressed in these two volumes run the gamut. Bringing together a wide net of poets, there is bound to be something that will impact the reader. The styles are unique, the words and messages are beautiful and deadly.

There's no shortage of wordplay, of prose that dances eloquently on the tongue and page alike. This is a collection that demands rereads and will make you linger at certain passages. I absolutely adore these two collections.
