I really couldn't go above a four on this one, despite it being mostly well written, with fun characters and an interesting plot. In fact, it's because of those things that I go this high (in other circumstances it might have been a 4.25 or 4.5), because quite honestly
I just could not get over the ending. I knew enough to be suspicious of a particular character just because of their role in the narrative, and fundamentally the clues are all sound as far as I can tell, but the actual implausibility of the scenario is not something that I found it easy to overcome as a reader
