How to Tell If Your Cat Is Plotting to Kill You
by The Oatmeal, Matthew Inman
I had to read this because I am the crazy cat lady that is only allowed to be the crazy cat lady deep in her heart because her fiance is an "adult" and has something that he refers to as "common sense." This means that I am limited to only one cat.
I KNOW. Breaks your heart, doesn't it?
I also thought I should be prepared with what to look for in case my cat is trying to kill me. She seems to be getting an early start in her plotting.

I sleep with one eye open.
Back to the book!
I had never heard of The Oatmeal or Matthew Inman prior to reading this. After reading this, I am not sure if I would seek out his non-cat related work. This doesn't mean that I didn't really enjoy this one but that what I enjoyed most was the "that is SO true" thoughts that popped up every few pages.
There were a few parts that I found to be hilarious, a few that I thought to be pretty funny, and then a handful of parts that I thought to be lame and a bit immature. Yeah, I said it. I'll be thatgirl party pooper.
I am giving this four stars for:
Being mostly hilarious and pretty funny.
Being about cats.
Page 15 (read it to see it).
The section titled "If we treated our cats like they treat us."
Really cute bookthat I wouldn't have paid full price for it but found it on thriftbooks for four bucks shipped.

PRE-READ:
I was hesitant about buying this until I saw this snippet in the preview (this is next to an arrow pointing at ahuman's GorillaPig's chest):
If you nap here it rises up and down -- feels like riding a warm sailboat across the comfy seas of awesome.
I started with that one and then just went clockwise and laughed and laughed. That kind of laugh you do because you know it is true.
Can't wait to get this one and devour it in a single sitting.
