maurice is a tender and an emotional queer romance full of yearning that thankfully doesn’t end in a tragic ending for the titular lead. however I want to push back on the idea that both he and clive get happy endings—I think you can tell that e.m. forster got a little fed up with writing clive by the end, and girl same!!
