Still pretty new to monster romance but of the handful I’ve read this definitely reads as a fairly typical alien romance. The girl gets abducted, is, most likely, basically gonna be sold off by little green alien men as cattle for breeding to the highest bidder situation. But ends up with a perfect gentleman of a 7 ft tall blue man creature who is obsessed with her and worships her. Now he is quite perfect and a sweet gentle giant, so I can’t blame her, but the immediate jump into the sexy time threw me a little, I could’ve understood some curiosity and that leading to more but not what you got.
The blatant rape that takes place at the immediate beginning of the book was very off putting and threw me, as well as having her (the SA victim) eventually die later and it be brushed off and treated as though it was for the best felt wrong.
But my overall opinion is pretty high on this book and i definitely plan to try out the next book at some point.
