Things ramp up in this volume as the TGC starts. We learn a bit more about where Hotaru's mom is coming from and why she's worried about Hotaru's interest in survival games, but eventually she agrees to trust Hotaru to her teammates. I love the presence that Star White has every time they step onto the field, even if Midori seemingly never changes his distantly amused expression. It's building up to be an exciting confrontation between the two teams.
