Rachel by Serena Akeroyd

5.0

Holy hotness, what was that!? This this book is the final book in the Dark & Dirty sinners MC series, and the second part of the Rex/Rachel duet. And that cliffhanger in Rex was worth it! This was pure perfection. So many things have been happening in this world, and Serena Akeroyd spins the tale flawlessly. I loved getting chapters from various perspectives so we could see what was transpiring, and what some of our favorite people were thinking and experiencing.

Rex. And. Rachel. Oh. Me. Gee. We have seen bits and pieces of them throughout the series, but then these two books proved we really had not seen anything. So so so much happened in their past, and even in their present, that we (and their friends and family ) had no idea about. Everyone called Rachel the Ice Queen, but no one questioned why. My heart broke for her and Rex. So much senseless pain for both of them. And yet, for all those years, Rex knew she was his. Almost two decades of waiting, watching, taking the pieces she could manage to share. These two were meant to be together. The brilliance of this author is felt in every shared emotion with these characters. I laughed, I cried, I raged. This duet had it all. Their HEA was hard fought, and they both suffered dearly along the way. But in the end the King had his Queen, and it was beautiful to watch.
