The Pallbearers Club by Paul Tremblay

4.0

3.5 stars rounded to 4 (goodreads give us the half star option please)

The Pallbearers Club by Paul Tremblay is weird AF. A book within a book. The loner kid, and the cool but mysterious girl that becomes his bff. The weird spin on vampires and the folklore was intriguing but about 80% of this book I was anticipating something to happen that didn't. The last 20% of the book was awesome, it just took a long time to get there.

I am glad I read this purely for the remarkable ending, and Mercy's sarcastic comments.
