This just wasn’t for me. I commend the pieces of the story about motherhood, women’s health, understanding yourself and what you need from a partner, but that isn’t enough to give it anything higher than two stars. There were a few lines that felt deep and introspective in a way that made me think and connect to the character in such a minuscule way. I didn’t root for any of the characters and didn’t feel any sort of connection to them in any way. I either need to connect with the character or the story. I got neither here. In all honesty, I didn’t like anything about this. Actually, that’s a lie. I like the description of the room and the tanka bean soap.
