The best “modern day” fantasy I have ever had the pleasure of reading. I could not turn the pages fast enough. If you like unique systems of magic being used for real-world consequences, this is perfect. I’m aware that there is a second book featuring Galaxy Stern already out, but this could honestly be a stand-alone if you don’t mind an open ended conclusion. It was a season finale, not a mid season break.
Overall, it was magical, dark, humorous, well-written and incredibly entertaining and well deserving of 5 stars.
