This book is written in a series of vignettes that at first read like separate short stories until threads of the plot begin to overlap. At times heart-wrenching, at times sweet. Ali Smith's writing is refreshingly unique and soft. If you are grieving this book may be either healing or challenging. I wanted this book to be longer; I wanted to stay at the Gloabl Hotel a few more days.  I think it's a book(particularly the first chapter) that's going to stick in my head and stay with me for a while.
