I would give this 3.5 stars! Overall, I feel like this is a good sequel. It started out as a simple missing person case to lead to finding the truth about the Asteri. In my opinion, I think there are too many POVs. The many POVs led, for me, to give me information that did not really lead to any true answers. I like Tharion and Ithan, but I do not see their POVs as necessary to the overall mystery. This book does keep you entertained throughout in finding out who the true allies and enemies are, but for me, it did seem to be longer than it needed to be. It seemed to me that the characters did a lot of side quests. The ending is shocking, which will make the third book interesting hopefully!
