The Book of Spies by Gayle Lynds

2.0

This book had potential, but somehow didn't measure up. The cover compares it to the Da Vinci Code, which, no matter how someone feels about its contents, was well written and clipped along at a good, fun pace. This book had action, but perhaps it was too much action. Where the Da Vinci Code had two, maybe three points of view, this one had six or seven. Some characters were only there for a chapter or two, and then killed off. There was so much back and forth I didn't really care about any of the characters. The idea of writing a book about finding this Library of Gold is really neat, and something right up my alley since I love history, but this book just didn't cut it.
