This Is Love by Melissa Foster
5.0

I have been a fan of Melissa Foster’s since before she started the Love In Bloom series. This book is my favorite so far. I know, I know, I say that about many of her books but this one takes two characters who, of course, are not looking for love and forces them to open their heavily protected hearts and take a chance on each other. Remi is still struggling with losing her parents in a car accident when she was young, and Mason has hardened himself after living a very difficult life. These two do not belong together but they make total sense together.

Remi and Mason have a unique relationship since they are employees, employers. They are thrown together in a matter of life and death and in a world that criticizes their every move. Yet, they understand each other better than those that have known them much longer. They see the reasoning behind the actions and reactions, they understand what each other needs beyond just the quick glance, and they open themselves up to helping, loving, and supporting each other to find that happiness. There are no secrets between them and they accept each other just as they are.

When I pick up a book by Melissa Foster, I know that I will get the hot, alpha male and the strong-willed, self-assured female but I also know that I will get a story that has amazing friendships and wonderful families. The secondary characters are just as marvelous as the main characters. Their relationships are just as important and the way they love each other heartwarming. I look forward to these characters since they always play important roles in the lives of the main characters. And I always hope that they will get to tell their own stories in future books in the series.
