Only You by Melanie Harlow

5.0

I really enjoy Melanie Harlow- this is only my second book by her, and its one of my favorite tropes. Friends to lovers- yes please!! I totally devoured this book from beginning to end, and I can’t wait to read more from Melanie.

Emme and Nate have lived across the hall from each other for three years and have become friends. They are definitely different from one another- as Emme is a wedding planner and believes in true love and happily ever after. While Nate is a divorce attorney and has shrugged the thought that he’d ever fall in love. Nate is always coming to her rescue, and while they have mutual attraction to one another- they can never agree on anything and they don’t want to act on anything. . Nate was always this immovable force- and his feelings were that nothing more than a friendship would happen. He was in total denial, but he definitely wanted Emme, and her feelings were crystal clear.

I really enjoy how this book had me cutting up laughing at their antics, and swooning at Nate becoming a father. It also had me pounding my kindle in frustration because I just wanted the both of them to be together. I enjoyed how the baby made Nate grow up in a way. It just made sense that this baby was meant to be in his life- to change how he feels.
