The age gap, he was 19 and just back from college and she was 16. They reference the age difference and say he tried to hold back for as long as he could, a week, fast forward they fall hard and fast. Juliette is taken away by her sperm donor and Doc is left battered and bruised and never recovered from her loss. Juliette is led to believe Seeley wanted nothing to do with them so she raises the babe alone until they run into one another and pieces get connected revealing the deceitful actions of Jules sperm donor of a parent. The book was good there was ample drama, I think it would help to read the previous books because so many characters are introduced and their relationships are a big part in the story.
