Welcome to St. Hell: My Trans Teen Misadventure: A Graphic Novel
by Lewis Hancox
Hancox does a great job with his transition story, somehow humble and self-deprecating yet all with a sense of humor and love. If you haven't seen his YouTube videos, you need to watch them NOW. Lewis dresses up as his mom (complete with dressing gown) AND he dresses up as his younger self Lois. He posts actual photos and videos from his life too, and it's both adorable and hilarious.
His parents and grandparents are wonderfully supportive when it comes to Lewis's struggles. A lot of his struggles come from expectations placed on him by society, and worst of all, by himself!
This book tackles sexuality, identity, self-confidence, and self love all at once. It was a great read and I'm excited for the next volume!
