I have enjoyed reading this series, especially the first book - ‘The Kind Worth Killing’. The highlight of the series for me has been Lily’s character -  and this book delivers there again.

The story starts with a brief incident involving Josie, who is at an art educator conference. She  meets a stranger and decides to spend the night with him. She is later found dead – falling or thrown off the balcony. Martha is married to Alan and has started feeling uneasy around him. In one instance, she finds some blood stains on his shirt. Lily is Martha’s friend from college, and she decides to seek her advice. Lily had helped her out of a difficult situation with a guy in college. Martha finds it disturbing that Alan might have something to do with a few crimes against women.

As with the previous two books, Lily’s character is top-notch and a delight to read (Henry also joins in later in the story). After half-way in the book, the major part of the plot is resolved, and I found it quite novel. After this though, there are many boring sections till there is another twist at the end.

Overall, another interesting addition to the series which could have been better though.
